In 2016, both the result of June's EU referendum and the government's plans to scrap the Human Rights Acts jeopardised the right of the UK's vegans to be protect from discrimination - from denial of services (such as vegan food in hospitals, care homes, and prisons) to bulling at school or work.
With none of the UK's vegan advocacy organisations taking any visible steps to counter such moves, I launched a grassroots campaign to ensure that vulnerable vegans would continue to be protected.
